European Union and Africa adopt joint declaration on migration and development issues

On 22 and 23 November Minister of Internal Affairs Kalle Laanet was in Tripoli in Libya to attend an African and European Union conference focusing on migration and development issues. A joint declaration was adopted at the event regarding both matters. The declaration incorporates specific practical activities and reflects the views of both continents. An action plan for the battle against human trafficking was also approved in principle at the conference.
