Regional Minister Jaan Õunapuu: a strong family is the basis of a nation’s success

Today, 30 October, Regional Minister Jaan Õunapuu will be participating in the conference "Christian values in Estonian politics" with a presentation titled "The spirituality of the family as the basis of a nation's success."

"The state and the family by their nature are very closely connected and history has shown that it is only those countries that function according to the generally accepted sense of family spirituality therein that have proven successful," said Minister Õunapuu.

"Estonia will only truly become great when its politicians learn through Christian values and ancient family wisdom not only to care and to stick together, but also to forgive," the minister explained.

Minister Õunapuu is responsible for the development of relations between state and local governments and religious associations in social, educational, legal and cultural matters.
The conference is being supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
